Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Ensure alignment with BI standards, data governance requirements, documentation expectations, and design best practices.
  • Support incident management by owning escalations, leading root-cause investigations, and coordinating cross-functional resolutions.
  • Oversee preparation of BI inputs for internal and senior leadership business reviews.

Technical Support & Mentoring

  • Provide technical guidance on data modelling, dashboard design, performance optimisation, and BI tooling.
  • Mentor BI Developers and Senior Developers, supporting the development of their technical capabilities and business understanding.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across the team.

Strategic Contribution

  • Partner with the BI Team Manager to shape long-term BI strategy, capability development, and tooling improvements.
  • Contribute to resource planning, process optimisation, and the identification of automation and efficiency opportunities.
  • Play a key role in prioritisation discussions, ensuring team capacity aligns with organisational priorities.

Experience

  • 6-8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-focused roles.
  • Experience leading delivery workstreams, mentoring analysts or developers, or supervising small teams.
  • Demonstrated success delivering high-impact BI or analytics solutions within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Operations.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and relational database concepts.
  • Experience with data modelling, dashboard design, and BI optimisation best practices.
  • Familiarity with CRM datasets, such as Salesforce, and cloud data platforms, such as Snowflake.
  • Understanding of ETL concepts, data structures, and dependencies across the BI ecosystem.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent leadership and coaching capabilities, with a focus on supporting team growth and development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Confident decision-maker who can prioritise effectively and manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with an influential and partnership-focused approach.
  • Highly organised, structured, and proactive in problem-solving.
