Every day, the Downstream Contracts & Procurement organization manages approximately $40 million worth of non-hydrocarbon goods and services, helping to deliver value and support profitable business operations across the globe.

In this role, you will contribute to ensuring accurate and timely payments to our vendors, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting reliable financial reporting. You will also help ensure compliance with company policies while upholding Shell’s commitment to integrity and operational excellence.

As a key member of the Accounts Payable team, you will act as a change champion, driving customer-focused solutions, applying your process expertise, and collaborating with colleagues across the organization to continuously improve the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process. What you’ll be doing

As an Analyst, AP DRF, you will serve as a key partner to the business, building strong stakeholder relationships, resolving operational issues, and driving continuous improvement across the end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) process.

  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies, controls, and tax requirements, including VAT, sales tax, and withholding tax.
  • Manage invoice exceptions, vendor inquiries, and vendor master data requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Analyse operational data, generate insights, and identify opportunities to improve Accounts Payable processes and performance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and first point of escalation for Accounts Payable-related matters.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and business partners to enhance service delivery, improve payment performance, and strengthen operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in operational meetings, projects, system enhancements, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Contribute to a high-performing AP DRF team by sharing best practices and supporting organizational priorities.
  • Promote and uphold Shell's Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards and culture.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • With experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, or a related process environment.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, accounting principles, and financial controls.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and other finance or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Proactive, innovative, and open to driving process improvements.
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-focused approach and strong attention to detail
