Business Improvement Consultant Sr

Requires Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or an equivalent quality certification; Green Belt certification may be considered. Significant consulting experience or an engineering degree is required.

Location: Near any Elevance Health PulsePoint location.

Hybrid 1: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. As the internal, enterprise-wide consulting arm of the organization's strategic leadership, the Business Improvement Consultant is responsible for establishing relationships with functional teams across the organization and handling complex, high priority business questions/issues including assisting in building new client relationships.

How you will make an impact:

• Leads and implements a wide variety of business improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and profitability of the organization.
• Coaches project teams on use of tools for assessing people, process and systems performance.
• Collaboratively partners with regional process improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma and TQM, to leverage common initiatives, eliminate duplication and ensure alignment with our business improvement and innovation value across the enterprise.
• Establishes and monitors metrics and measurements and teaches managers to use those tools to manage their environment and hold the improvement gains.
• Establishes cross-organizational relationships that translate into engagements and a track record of establishing and developing adopted practices that improve communications, results measurement, and the engagement management process.
• Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 5 years in management or management consulting role, business development, large scale project management, line operations with P/L responsibility, or process improvement leadership; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Requires Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent training/consultant experience.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: 

• MBA preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Working experience at the Project Leader, Manager, or Associate Principal level within a national consulting firm; leading major projects at the SLT level of management, coaching and mentoring project analysts, significant ROI contributions as a leader on numerous concurrent projects strongly preferred.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to extract, analyze, and interpret complex data to identify opportunities, measure outcomes, and communicate actionable insights.
• Experience analyzing large datasets to evaluate business improvement initiatives; familiarity with SQL or similar data querying tools is a plus.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $111,760 to $192,786.
