About this Business Development Representative role at Valsoft Corporation

Valsoft Corporation · Onsite · White Plains, New York, United States

About WeSuite

WeSuite provides sales management software designed for security integrators. Its solutions help businesses manage quoting, sales workflows, customer relationships, and pipeline visibility more effectively, including through products such as QuoteAnywhere and Selena AI.

WeSuite is part of Fluent Software Group (a Valsoft Corporation operating group), a global acquirer and operator of vertical market software businesses. We focus on specialized industries where expertise creates lasting advantages.

The Opportunity: Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative at WeSuite is a core sales role focused on generating qualified pipeline for new security, fire, IT, and AV integrator clients. You will prospect, qualify, and create opportunities that fuel revenue growth across our QuoteAnywhere and Selena AI product lines.

This is a high-activity sales role where your results are measured by the quality and volume of pipeline you create for our sales team. You will develop deep knowledge of the sales needs and workflows of our clients to best target, identify, and earn the trust of prospects through persistent and professional outreach, and serve as the first point of contact for integrators and dealers considering WeSuite solutions.

Location: White Plains, NY (hybrid)

The salary range for this role is $ 50,000 - 65,000 USD per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location.

What You’ll Own

Pipeline Generation

  • Prospect and engage security, fire, IT,  AV, HVAC integrator decision-makers through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and industry events.
  • Qualify inbound leads and schedule discovery calls or demos for Account Executives.
  • Research target accounts, dealers, buying committees, and professional associations to deliver outreach that earns a reply.
  • Hit or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for meetings set, qualified opportunities, and pipeline contribution.

CRM and Sales Operations

  • Own the CRM as a clean, accurate, engineered source of truth for all BDR activity — not a logging tool, an operational platform.
  • Build and refine workflows, sequences, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, and custom properties.
  • Identify and close gaps in data quality, routing, deduplication, and pipeline visibility before leadership asks.
  • Build and maintain reporting that answer conversion questions instantly.

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the CRM for all prospects, activities, and pipeline stages.
  • Track outreach activity, meeting outcomes, and opportunity progression to ensure full pipeline visibility for leadership.
  • Flag data quality issues and pipeline gaps proactively, before leadership has to ask.
  • This role is a strong launching pad for growth into an Account Executive or Sales leadership track as you build product knowledge, customer relationships, and a proven track record.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to improve lead quality, campaign performance, and follow-up.
  • Work with AEs to ensure clean, context-rich handoff on every opportunity.
  • Feed ICP and messaging insights back into the go-to-market platform based on what is actually converting.
  • Use GTMP sequences and reporting to manage cadences and measure outreach effectiveness.

Go-to-Market Technology & Platform Ownership

  • Owning, as an ongoing mandate, the use of the WeSuite GTM platform for continued improvements
  • Management and tracking of prospecting/search and data-enrichment tools
  • Continuously sharpening ICP definitions from conversion and win/loss data
  • Building, testing, and iterating on email sequences optimized for high-quality pipeline (not just opens/replies).
  • Tracking which tools/sequences/ICP criteria actually drive pipeline and revenue, and recommending what to scale or change

What Success Looks Like

  • Meetings set, qualified opportunities created, and pipeline contribution.
  • CRM data quality and workflow performance.
  • Activity volume - calls made, emails sent, LinkedIn touchpoints, and follow-up consistency.
  • Management of the WeSuite GTM platform leading to continued high-quality opportunity results.

About You

  • You want to carry a number and you take ownership of hitting it.
  • You learn by doing. You ask questions, absorb feedback, and improve your approach every week.
  • You are organized and detail-oriented - nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
  • You are comfortable on the phone. You can hold a conversation, handle objections, and earn a next step.
  • You are motivated by growth. You want to develop into a full-cycle seller and eventually take on more responsibility.
  • You care about what you sell. WeSuite's clients protect people, property, and communities, and that mission means something to you.
  • You are growth-oriented. This role has a direct path to Account Executive for candidates who build product knowledge, hit their targets, and demonstrate they can run a full sales cycle.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong drive and a competitive mindset — you want to hit your number and then exceed it.
  • Hands-on CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and comfort learning a CRM quickly to manage activity and pipeline.
  • Persistent and resilient — you follow up consistently and don't take rejection personally.
  • Interest in security technology, fire/life safety, or integrator/dealer sales (preferred but not required) - you want to sell something that matters to the businesses that protect people and property.
  • Strong written and verbal communication - your outreach stands out.
  • 1-3 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience.
  • Analytical mindset. You can diagnose funnel issues and propose solutions.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, especially with CRM data.
  • Competitive and goal-oriented. You want to hit and exceed your targets and goals.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience selling software or technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with security, fire and life safety, AV, HVAC, or other integrator businesses.
  • Experience managing outbound sales sequences, lead-scoring workflows, or sales reporting.

Why WeSuite?

  • Make a visible impact: Join a small team where the pipeline you build directly supports the company’s growth.
  • Own more than outreach: Help improve the CRM, sales processes, data, and tools behind the go-to-market strategy.
  • Work closely with the team: Collaborate directly with Account Executives, Marketing, and sales leadership.
  • Build valuable sales experience: Develop a strong understanding of customers, products, prospecting, and the full sales cycle.
