About the role:
Join RSM as a Bookkeeper and become a valued member of our Business Advisory team. In this role, you will provide bookkeeping, payroll and compliance services to a diverse range of clients, helping them maintain accurate financial records and make informed business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who enjoys building strong client relationships and contributing to the success of local businesses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain client bookkeeping records and reconciliations.
- Process payroll and STP reporting.
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statement.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with management reporting.
- Support clients using Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and other accounting software’s
- Respond to client queries and provide ongoing support.
- Work with accountants and advisors to meet client needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve client processes.
- Deliver exceptional client service.
About you:
You'll be someone who enjoys working with people just as much as numbers. You're organised, proactive, and take pride in delivering quality work.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or equivalent.
- Experience within a public practice accounting firm.
- Knowledge of cloud accounting applications and integrations.
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
Essential
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software.
- Sound understanding of payroll, BAS and GST requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Commitment to delivering high-quality client outcomes.
