Responsibilities:
General Purpose: In an outpatient setting, supports standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. They participate in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service. They also participate in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes. May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadershipFull Time position, M-F, 40 hours, primarily days
The Blood & Coagulation Disorders Center (BCDC) is a Wilmot Cancer Institute specialty hematology practice that provides comprehensive ambulatory care, infusion services, transfusion support, and specialized treatment for patients with benign blood and bleeding disorders through a highly trained nursing and multidisciplinary team.
BCDC is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their leadership team. The Assistant Nurse Manger will collaborate with the Nurse Manager to assist in daily operations, process improvement, staff development/education, be able to provide direct patient care and work on retention. This practice has both clinic and an infusion service at Lattimore. The Assistant Nurse Manager will require excellent communication skills that are necessary to collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital partners and regional offices to achieve positive patient outcomes.
RN licensure in NY, BSN required, previous leadership experience preferred.
