Education
University degree in computer science or related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Experience
10 to 12 years' experience in systems development.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop blockchain-based applications and smart contracts
Build and maintain decentralized systems using platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, or Hyperledger Besu
Write secure, efficient smart contracts using languages like Solidity or Rust
Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and security audits
Optimize blockchain performance, scalability, and transaction efficiency
Integrate blockchain solutions with APIs, databases, and cloud services
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership
Stay updated on emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in blockchain development and distributed systems
Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Python
Deep understanding of smart contracts, cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and Web3 technologies
Experience with frameworks/tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, and Foundry
Familiarity with DeFi, NFTs, wallets, and token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721)
Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability mitigation
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and agile development
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects
Relevant blockchain certifications or published projects
Typical Outcomes
Deliver secure and scalable blockchain products
Improve transaction efficiency and platform reliability
Support innovation in decentralized finance, digital assets, and enterprise blockchain solutions
The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $121,564 USD Annual to $225,762 Annual USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance. Our generous benefits program includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance with no premium costs for our employees and their families, and retirement plan plus matching 401k.
