Job purpose

The purpose of the Billing Clerk is to assist the billing office in day to day activities in a rapidly growing Oncology Practice.

Duties include:

· Opening and Sorting Mail

· Distributing correspondence to other departments

· Creating check batches for processing and printing

· Working in Excel and spreadsheets

· Pulling and working credit card reports for daily processing

· Scanning/filing of patient information

· Basic computer skills for payment portals

· Other duties as assigned

· Ability to work independently in an office setting

Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Working conditions:

This position works in the billing office of a busy medical oncology/hematology clinic.

Physical requirements:

This position requires that the employee be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day. Some walking and standing will be required when completing certain tasks.
