BBYO across Canada is growing rapidly and is now the largest Jewish teen platform nationally. Throughout British Columbia, BBYO has been shaping Jewish lives and inspiring vibrant Jewish community for decades. As the Movement looks to its next 100 years, BBYO seeks to expand its engagement of and deepen its impact on as many Jewish teens across British Columbia as possible. An ever-growing stronger BBYO CPR – Canada Pacific Region will ensure that Canada’s Jewish teens have the skills, networks, and knowledge to lead Canadian, and global, Jewry in the future.

Over the last couple of years, an exciting team of Jewish community leaders and leading Jewish institutions, in partnership with generations of parents and alumni, have united around a bold vision to lift BBYO CPR – Canada Pacific Region to new heights. BBYO is seeking a part-time Associate Regional Director excited to lead the region through its next evolution and eager to pursue its strategic goals. This individual will partner with a team of colleagues, volunteers, and teens across the region’s Jewish communal hubs, nurture a diverse network of stakeholders, and ensure that BBYO is providing a best-in-class experience for Jewish teens that’s meaningful, transformative, fun, and professional.

This BBYO CPR – Canada Pacific Region team member will build, strengthen, and maintain strategic partnerships with the Jewish Community Centre (JCC) of Greater Vancouver, the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, Jewish schools, synagogues, and other key community stakeholders throughout British Columbia. The Associate Regional Director will work collaboratively to expand Jewish teen engagement, increase BBYO's visibility and impact, and develop meaningful opportunities for teens across the province. The ARD will also oversee and supervise all regional and chapter programs and events organized by BBYO teens throughout British Columbia, ensuring they are delivered safely, professionally, and in accordance with BBYO policies, standards, and educational goals.

We’re seeking a professional that is a self-starter, energetic, detail-oriented, organized and can work well in a team setting. Strong candidates are charismatic, have strong people skills, tested program experience, able to relate to teens and utilize their abilities to achieve BBYO’s mission of engaging more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences.

S/he will possess a skill set that includes strong customer service skills, logical thinking, creative and professional writing, and event planning. You should be fearless about reaching out to anyone, and eager to take calculated programmatic risks that have often never been tested before. Candidates should be excited about an opportunity that goes beyond being only a youth-facing professional; we’re looking for someone who wants to build a brand, advocate for the Jewish community to embrace the voices and imaginations of its youth and run a highly professional affiliate of BBYO’s global movement. This is a role where you will grow your community building, programming, event planning, communications, fundraising, and business operations skills in a variety of ways.

We do this challenging and invigorating work through our partners in more than 725 local, teen-led chapters across more than 60 countries, at hundreds of weekend retreats during the school year and across a rapidly growing suite of global exchanges, campaigns and movement initiatives all year-round. Over the summer, we run dozens of immersive experiences including extensive Israel travel, missions and community tours across six continents, and a myriad of leadership camps. What you’ll get to do as our Associate Regional Director:

• Mentor and support teen leaders in developing strong, vibrant, and teen-led BBYO chapters throughout British Columbia.
• Personally supervise all regional and chapter events across British Columbia, ensuring that every BBYO program is delivered safely, professionally, and in accordance with BBYO policies, standards, and risk management procedures.
• Attend weekly Regional Board meetings and provide coaching, guidance, and support to teen leadership.
• Help teens develop leadership skills, create meaningful programming, establish goals, and strengthen chapter culture.
• Support recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies to increase BBYO membership and impact across the province.
• Ensure chapters are working toward delivering consistent, high-quality teen-led programming.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute regional programs, chapter events, conventions, leadership training experiences, overnight programs, recruitment events, and community initiatives.
• Manage event logistics including budgets, registration systems, attendance tracking, payments, reimbursements, vendors, venues, and materials.
• Ensure all programs follow BBYO policies, risk management procedures, and safety standards.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer Advisors across British Columbia.
• Provide Advisors with communication, resources, and guidance to strengthen chapter operations.
• Support chapter planning, calendars, recruitment strategies, and leadership transitions.
• Manage regional administrative responsibilities including budgets, spreadsheets, attendance records, membership tracking, payments, reports, and organizational metrics.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director on strategic planning, annual goals, budgeting, and regional growth initiatives.
• Support fundraising initiatives, sponsorship opportunities, and donor engagement efforts.
• Create newsletters, registration materials, presentations, reports, and other communications for regional and chapter activities.
• Build relationships with Jewish schools, synagogues, community organizations, the JCC, and other community partners.
• Support BBYO visibility and engagement strategies throughout British Columbia.
• Represent BBYO professionally within the Jewish community and serve as an ambassador for the organization.
• Attend BBYO summer leadership experiences, Canadian Staff Conference, International Staff Conference, International Convention (IC) each February, and other BBYO opportunities as needed.

Role Requirements:

• Passion for working with teens and supporting youth development.
• 1–3 years of experience working with teens, youth programs, community organizations, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience leading teams, volunteers, or projects preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Experience with program development, event planning, community engagement, or nonprofit operations.
• Comfortable managing budgets, administrative systems, and operational responsibilities.
• Skilled in professional writing, communication, and digital tools.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel throughout British Columbia as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours when teens are available.
• It would be great if you spoke Russian, Hebrew, French, or other languages.

Compensation will be commensurate based on experience within an initial $25,000 CAD. The position will be built and supported to maintain a flexible work environment to help foster your preferred work-life blend.
