Job Description:

Note: This is a tipped position. Pay is the NYC minimum for tipped employees ($11.35/hr. plus $5.65/hr. tip credit, when applicable) plus tips.

At Next Door by Wegmans, our mission is to deliver exceptional service and create a truly unique dining experience for our guests. We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled bartenders to join our team and play a pivotal role in promoting and enhancing our menu and beverage offerings. What will I do?

• Welcome guests, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders
• Plan drink menus and inform guests about new beverages and specials
• Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to order
• Build a rapport with guests by creating a positive and energetic atmosphere
• Check identification to ensure guests are the legal age to purchase alcohol

Required Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of bartending experience in an upscale and/or fine dining establishment
• Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and related specialty beverages

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification of training in liquor, wine, food service and/or alcohol awareness programs
• Completion of a reputable bartending course
• Experience creating craft cocktails
