THE JOB:

As a Barista for Starbucks and other cafes in MGM"s Las Vegas Properties, you will be responsible for setting the stage for the guest experience with your welcoming smile and expert service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us, collaborating closely with your team to uphold premier hospitality standards in a fast-paced environment.

THE STARTING RATE: $15.2511+, Hourly + Tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Take and place order, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable

• Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures

• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests

• Pack and complete order as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments

• Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures

• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment

• Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in work station, counters, tables, etc.

• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Open availability as this position begins as Part-Time/On-Call for some properties

• One year of experience as a Food Handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant preferred

• Previous experience as a Barista for Starbucks or a Similar cafe environment preferred

• One year of guest service experience preferred
