About this Back Office Payments Officer role at Capital

Responsibilities:

Process daily client payment transactions (funds in/out) accurately and within established timeframes, ensuring adherence to company procedures and service levels.

Coordinate with internal teams (AML, Compliance, Customer Support, Sales, Accounting and Reconciliation) to support all payment and back-office related tasks.

Communicate effectively with the company’s banks and payment providers to resolve payment or reconciliation issues.

Monitor payment activity to ensure accuracy, detect irregularities, and escalate any unusual transactions when required.

Perform additional duties as needed to support team objectives and overall business operations.

Requirements:

Business proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Experience with Zendesk is a plus.

Professional experience in a financial institution (e.g. banking sector or fintech) is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Flexibility to work in a shift-based schedule.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Experience in a payments department, including:

Processing payouts and pay-ins (deposits).
Reviewing and accepting client deposits.
Processing client withdrawals.
Reviewing customer documents for AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance.
