Accenture · Onsite · London

Role: Automotive Management Consultant

Location: London

Career Level: Consultant (CL9)

Accenture is a global professional services company providing a broad range of market-leading services to our clients. We are looking for an ambitious Consultant to join our Industry & Enterprise Automotive Consulting practice. In this role you will have an enviable opportunity to work with some of the world's most iconic Automotive clients — from National Sales Companies (NSCs) and leading retailers, to OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and new mobility players — on cutting-edge and complex transformation programmes.

Our approach combines deep industry knowledge, market-leading thought leadership, and human ingenuity — blended with the power of AI and technology. As Accenture's reinvention partner of choice for its clients, everything we do is shaped by a simple belief: that in an industry designed for mobility, data and intelligence should be equally free to move. You will help clients harness the power of agentic AI and connected data to drive agility, growth, and lasting impact.

Inclusion and diversity are woven into the fabric of our business, and our core values of Stewardship, Best People, Client Value Creation, Integrity and Respect for the Individual have enabled us to create One Global Network for clients all over the world.

"Today, our clients need more value faster, and Accenture is their reinvention partner of choice. We are writing the playbook for how to be the most AI-enabled, client-focused professional services company in the world and a great place to work for our people — our Reinventors." — Julie Sweet, Accenture Chair & CEO

Our Team

The Automotive industry is undergoing one of the most profound transformations in its history. The shift to electric and software-defined vehicles, the disruption of traditional mobility and retail models, and the increasing pressure to decarbonise supply chains are reshaping the competitive landscape for every player in the value chain — from design and engineering, through manufacturing and distribution, to sales, aftersales, and service.

Accenture's UKI Automotive practice works with the full breadth of that value chain. A significant and growing part of our client portfolio is National Sales Companies — the organisations responsible for bringing vehicle brands to market in the UK, and for managing the relationships between manufacturers, their retailer networks, and end customers. NSCs face a distinctive set of challenges: unlocking siloed data assets, modernising customer engagement, optimising retailer performance, and building the commercial agility to compete in a fast-moving market. We believe that data freedom — the ability to connect customer, vehicle, finance, supply chain, and retailer data — is the founding enabler of their reinvention.

Accenture is at the forefront of this change — helping the world's leading Automotive companies achieve sustainable and profitable growth. As our clients' reinvention partner of choice, we bring together Strategy, Consulting, Technology, Operations, and Industry X capabilities through our integrated Reinvention Services to help them deliver lasting impact — from strategy through to implementation.

We are experiencing significant growth in our Automotive practice and are looking for exceptional individuals to join our team. As well as working with world-class industry clients, you will learn, grow, and advance in an innovative culture that thrives on shared success, diverse ways of thinking, and enables boundaryless opportunities that can drive your career in new and exciting directions.

In our team, you will gain exposure to:

  • The most strategic challenges and opportunities occupying the minds of Automotive industry leaders — from Electric Vehicles (EV) and Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) transition strategy, to agentic AI-enabled operations, new mobility business models, and retail network transformation
  • A diverse portfolio of Automotive clients across the full value chain — including National Sales Companies, OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, mobility providers, and captive finance businesses
  • Accenture's Automotive Reinvention Suite of offerings, spanning Engineering Reinvention, Software-Defined Vehicle, Resilient Supply Chain, Manufacturing Reinvention, Intelligent Servitization & Aftersales, Omni-Channel Experience, and B2B2C Customer Engagement
  • Cutting-edge research and thought leadership that is defining the future of Automotive — including how agentic AI and connected data are unlocking new value across the vehicle lifecycle
  • Structured problem-solving and human-centred design techniques to enable our clients to reinvent their businesses with speed and confidence
  • A global Automotive network of highly skilled, geographically and culturally diverse practitioners
  • A world-class training curriculum that helps you continuously upskill as the industry — and the technology underpinning it — rapidly evolves
  • A culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, enterprise, and a genuine passion for the Automotive sector

Job Qualifications

This is the ideal opportunity for you if you can demonstrate:

  • Demonstrable client-facing management consulting experience, gained within a leading consulting organisation — with a track record of structured problem-solving, analytics, and client communication
  • A genuine passion for the Automotive industry and its reinvention — whether through EV and SDV transition, digital transformation, agentic AI, new mobility models, retail network modernisation, or supply chain resilience
  • Some direct experience of, or meaningful exposure to, the Automotive sector — whether through consulting engagements, industry roles, or sustained personal interest and self-directed learning. Experience working with or within National Sales Companies, captive finance businesses, or retail networks is particularly welcome
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record, or equivalent experience. An advanced degree or MBA is a plus but not essential
  • Strong functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Customer & Retailer Engagement, Commercial Strategy & Growth, Data & AI / Agentic Tooling, Supply Chain & Procurement, Manufacturing & Operations, Product Development & Engineering, Mobility Strategy, or Sustainability & Decarbonisation
  • Exceptional creative problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous and complex challenges
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral — with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders. Fluency in English is essential
  • A passion for technology, AI and innovation, and how these are reshaping the future of mobility and transportation. Able to both use and recommend agentic and AI solutions that are safe, responsible and impactful.

What's in it for you

At Accenture, in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package which includes 30 days of vacation per year, access to app-based fitness classes and discounts on a range of gyms, private medical insurance, and three days leave per year for charitable work of your choice.

We strive to help our people create the right work-life balance that allows them to realise their full potential. Please speak to your recruiter about the working pattern that works best for you.

Location: Your home office will be in London. This role is client-facing and will involve travel across the UK and, on occasion, internationally.
