Fleet Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift)

As our Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our fleet of vehicles and ground support equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready to support operations every day. You'll lead a team of skilled mechanics, partner with vendors, drive preventive maintenance strategies, and make a direct impact on operational performance and costs.

What You'll Do
🚚 Keep the Fleet Running
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Monitor repairs, vehicle inspections, and maintenance activities to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Identify root causes of mechanical issues and coordinate effective solutions.
🔧 Lead and Develop a Skilled Team
- Supervise and support a team of automotive mechanics.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees through training and performance management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
📊 Drive Efficiency and Cost Savings
- Analyze maintenance trends, equipment performance, and operating expenses.
- Manage maintenance budgets and approve fleet-related expenditures.
- Develop initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
🤝 Partner Across the Business
- Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Manage inventory levels for parts, tires, and critical supplies.
- Conduct facility and equipment audits to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
✅ Champion Safety and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all safety, regulatory, and maintenance standards.
- Support a proactive maintenance culture focused on preventing issues before they occur.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- 3-5+ years of progressive leadership experience in fleet maintenance, automotive operations, or a related industry.
- Proven experience leading teams and driving operational results.
- Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair processes.
Key Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting expertise.
- Ability to manage maintenance programs, asset performance, and vendor partnerships.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience analyzing operational data and implementing improvements.
Schedule Requirements
📅 Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support business needs during peak periods and operational events.
🌙 This position supports a 3rd shift operation, with a typical start time of 10:00 PM and 10-hour shifts.
📍 Must live within the local area. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
