We are seeking a dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our team in Macon, Georgia. This role is essential in expanding our capacity to deliver top-tier advocacy and achieve outstanding outcomes for our clients.

As a Litigation Attorney, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's personal injury practice through legal research, writing, discovery, case strategy, and litigation. Depending on your experience and strengths, the role may include increasing responsibility for depositions, courtroom proceedings, and trials. You will work closely with the firm’s lead attorney, receiving hands-on mentorship while taking on greater responsibility and autonomy as you develop within the firm.

What you’ll do:

• Litigation Management: Support and progressively take ownership of personal injury matters from inception through resolution, driving cases forward as your experience, capabilities, and autonomy grow.
• Research & Motion Practice: Take an active role in legal research, discovery, and motion practice, including drafting briefs and motions, supporting depositions, and building well-prepared cases.
• Client Communication: Build trusted relationships with clients through clear, compassionate communication, keeping them informed, managing expectations, and providing thoughtful guidance throughout the legal process.
• Trial Preparation & Participation: Prepare cases for trial and actively participate in trial proceedings, taking on increasing responsibility from supporting and second-chair roles toward first-chair responsibilities over time.
• Team & Firm Collaboration: Contribute as an engaged member of a close-knit team, supporting colleagues and broader firm initiatives including marketing, educational content, community involvement, and firm development.

What we’re looking for: 

• Legal Experience: Juris Doctor required, with Georgia Bar admission preferred. Candidates awaiting admission may also be considered, with approximately 2–10 years of litigation experience preferred. Federal court admission is preferred; candidates who are not yet admitted should be willing to obtain admission.
• Research and Writing: Demonstrates strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to produce thoughtful, well-supported briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
• Litigation Skills: Brings experience or demonstrated aptitude in discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation, with a willingness to continue developing across these areas.
• Client Service: Communicates with professionalism, clarity, and compassion while maintaining the high standards of service expected throughout the client relationship.
• Teamwork & Coachability: Works collaboratively, welcomes hands-on mentorship and constructive feedback, and is willing to learn and adopt the firm’s established processes.
• Ownership & Judgment: Brings strong judgment, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to the work, taking accountability for quality and demonstrating increasing ownership as responsibilities grow.
• On-Site Engagement: Thrives in an in-office role where collaboration and direct engagement with colleagues are integral to success. The role is based in Macon, Georgia, with relocation considered for the right candidate.
