Join PwC New Zealand's Assurance practice as an Audit Manager in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, working with leading financial services organisations across banking, insurance, funds and other regulated sectors. Based in our modern waterfront Auckland office, you'll be part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality audits, building trusted client relationships and helping organisations strengthen confidence in financial reporting.

Your day-to-day could include:
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of external audit engagements in accordance with regulatory and professional standards
- Manage and mentor audit teams, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance throughout the audit lifecycle
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business, risks, and audit requirements
- Oversee the identification and assessment of financial and control risks and develop audit strategies to address them
- Provide insightful advice on financial reporting matters and emerging regulatory changes to clients and internal teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in audit processes and encourage innovation within your teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to resolve complex audit issues and deliver value-added solutions
- Using technology, data and AI-enabled tools to enhance audit quality, efficiency and insight

- 4+ years’ experience in external audit within a professional services firm
- Proven experience leading audit engagements from planning to completion
- Experience supervising, coaching and supporting junior team members
- Knowledge of globally recognised financial reporting standards, including IFRS
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a relevant professional accounting qualification completed or underway, such as CAANZ, CPA, ACCA or ICAEW
- Strong organisation, time management and communication skills
- Experience with, or interest in developing deeper expertise in, financial services and banking clients
