Associate Wire Harness Installation Engineer

Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS)  is looking for an Associate Wire Harness Installation Engineer to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK.  This position will provide engineering support across the Boeing portfolio of products, to include – but not limited to – Boeing Military Aircraft and Military Derivative Aircraft (AEW&C, AWACS, C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, KC-767, B-1B, B-2, B-52 and others).

Position Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains basic cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.

• Assists with engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).

• Develops and maintains basic electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).

• Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.

• Collects data to support the development of statements of work.

• Assists in data gathering of supplier capabilities.

• Reviews functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture.

• Works under close supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):   

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

• Experience with CAD software (ex. CATIA, Solidworks, etc.)

• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship as a condition of employment. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 2 or more years’ related work experience or combined experience in academic projects

• Experience with CATIA and 3DX CAD Software.

Summary pay range

Associate (Level 1): $68,850 – $93,150

Oklahoma Tax Credit:
