ROLE PROFILE:

Associate Tech Lead in a forward-thinking engineering team focused on building AI-native software solutions that transform how technology is delivered across LSEG. Design, develop, and scale intelligent applications employing Agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), orchestration frameworks, and modern cloud platforms. Work closely with engineering, platform, and product teams to create innovative solutions that drive business outcomes while championing engineering excellence, security, and responsible AI practices.

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a hands-on Associate Tech Lead to join our engineering team and help shape the next generation of AI-native products and platforms. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Software Engineer seeking progression into next career stage while remaining deeply involved in software engineering and solution delivery.

You will lead the development of intelligent software solutions powered by AI agents, workflow orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and modern cloud-native architectures. Working alongside engineers, architects, and business stakeholders, you will help define technical direction, promote engineering best practices, and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that create measurable value.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-native applications and services using modern software engineering practices.
  • Build and enhance agentic AI solutions using LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and workflow automation technologies.
  • Own the technical implementation of sophisticated features and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, platform, security, and product teams to deliver innovative business solutions.
  • Establish and promote engineering standards, reusable patterns, and best practices for AI-native development.
  • Apply secure-by-design and responsible AI principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Drive operational excellence through observability, automation, testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and support the growth of team capabilities.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and find opportunities to accelerate business value and developer productivity.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and delivering enterprise software solutions.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying agentic AI or AI-native solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Experience working with large language models (LLMs), AI frameworks, agent orchestration platforms, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native development.
  • Experience with modern development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevOps.
  • Ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Passion for mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer engagement skills.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Experience building production-grade AI agents or multi-agent systems.
  • Experience with Azure AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, RAGFlow or similar AI development frameworks.
  • Experience implementing AI governance, responsible AI, and security controls in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of platform engineering, developer experience, and engineering productivity solutions.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct people management responsibility.

WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN:

  • Opportunity to work on modern security initiatives that shape the future of LSEG.
  • Exposure to modern AI technologies, platforms, and enterprise-scale engineering challenges.
  • A clear pathway into technical leadership while remaining hands-on with modern engineering practices.
  • A collaborative, diverse team environment that values innovation and continuous learning.
  • Flexible working arrangements and support for professional development.
