Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies based on project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Creating 3D models and 2D drawings with BOM of various products, Understanding the task and evaluating the required input from business.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to support smooth collaboration and alignment.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project timelines, quality objectives, and organizational standards while supporting business and customer requirements.
  • Managing communication with Global stakeholders in different time zones as and when required.
  • Automate repeated processes & improve the quality of design, able to understand and interpret requirements technically for CAD Automation.
  • Drive product standardization initiatives to improve design consistency, increase component reuse, and reduce engineering complexity across the product portfolio.
  • Build and maintain CAD Configuration with iLogic or other CAD Automation.
  • Create and maintain standard parts, design libraries, templates, and engineering guidelines to support efficient and standardized product development.
  • Drive design optimization, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.
  • Continually search for new ways to meet or exceeded expectation to create value to stakeholders.
  • Proposes value addition solution and in constant seek out diverse thinking to maximize use of stakeholder’s experience, background, and perspective.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency.

Secondary tasks include:

  • Contribute and support detail design in projects.
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings with BOM as per project requirement.
  • Co-ordination with relevant team members to understand assigned work and plan for delivery, Complete projects on time with right quality.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • You hold Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and minimum 5-10 years of experience in your respective field.
  • Experience and knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD Tools, Preferably Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD.
  • Good knowledge of Parametric and Skeleton modelling.
  • Good knowledge of workflow and integration between Teamcenter and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Good Knowledge of Design & Engineering principles, Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding technology, drafting proficiency, welding symbols & surface treatment.
  • Self-driven, learn continuously, extract learning from experience, share and help team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Takes on tough challenges with sense of ownership, Approach work individually and with teams with optimism and solution-oriented Agile mindset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Added Advantage

  • Experience with iLogic in Inventor
  • Experience or knowledge of programming language.
  • Knowledge of different foreign languages
  • Experience or knowledge of AI in CAD
