The Opportunity

​

As an Associate or Senior Associate Earthing Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering earthing, bonding and lightning protection solutions from concept through to detailed design and commissioning support across a diverse portfolio of transmission, renewable energy, infrastructure and industrial projects.

 

You'll work alongside highly respected power engineers, combining technical excellence with client engagement to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor emerging engineers and help grow Beca's specialist earthing capability.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to deepen their specialist expertise while working on projects that are helping shape Australia's energy future.

In this role you will: 

 

  • Deliver earthing and bonding designs across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design, testing and commissioning support.
  • Undertake earthing modelling, site investigations and technical assessments to develop practical, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships while providing specialist technical advice across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, innovation and quality delivery within our Power business.

About You


You are a technically strong Electrical Engineer with proven experience delivering earthing and bonding solutions across complex power and infrastructure projects. You enjoy solving challenging technical problems, building trusted client relationships and sharing your knowledge with others. Whether you're already recognised as a specialist or looking to further establish your reputation in the industry, you'll be supported by a highly collaborative team environment.

 

​You will have proven capability across a range of the following areas:

 

  • Earthing and bonding design for substations, transmission networks, industrial facilities or major infrastructure projects.
  • Earthing system modelling, testing and assessment methodologies, including experience with software such as CDEGS.
  • Lightning protection design, EMC assessments and the application of relevant Australian and international standards.
  • Technical leadership, mentoring and stakeholder engagement within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and project delivery skills.
