About this Associate - Nuveen Data Quality role at TIAA
The Nuveen, Data Analysis job supports the organization's global customer relationship management (CRM) technology instance for sales reporting. The job is responsible for supporting the organization's global distribution teams by addressing user requests, enhancing user experience, providing user training, and maintaining data integrity of the platform. While working independently under general supervision, this job assists in the implementation of business processes and improvements that drive customer satisfaction, mitigate risk and ensure compliance. This position is also responsible for collecting data sources, analyzing key data and information, monitoring data quality to meet information system needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Meets with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of users acceptance and may coordinate testing, and system techniques and controls.
- Maintains sales and marketing statistics and tracks programs to evaluate effectiveness.
- Reviews and updates data within the customer relationship management (CRM) technology to ensure data adheres to data standards.
- Ensures implementation of data quality processes and ensures sign off on data-related changes.
- Participates in data validation and cleaning to ensure the quality and integrity of data.
- Works in partnership with information technology (IT) partners to design and document solutions to bridge the gaps, and provides detailed business requirements for CRM developers.
- Documents and maintains test plans to assess business processes.
- Supports technical architects on design decisions, both within the CRM technology itself and other connected applications.

Role
Nuveen is seeking a detail-oriented, self-driven Data Quality Analyst to:
Review customer datasets and vendor-produced reports
Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues
Partner with internal teams and external vendors
Ensure accuracy of customer demographic data
Deliver white glove customer service in all interactions
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough reviews of customer demographic data and vendor reports
Directly correct records within systems or manage vendor corrections
Research data issues using industry resources and external websites
Trace data issues to their source and recommend sustainable fixes
Organize working sessions with stakeholders to resolve complex problems
Distill analysis into clear, concise, actionable summaries for various audiences
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on data management experience (direct record updates, not just querying)
Proficiency in SQL and Excel
Hands-on experience with Broadridge Salesvision and Salesforce CRM (required)
Direct experience in the US Wealth retail space
Understanding of how Nuveen distributes products through financial advisors
Strong independent worker — takes initiative without constant direction
Preferred Qualifications
5–7 years in the financial services industry
Experience with customer demographic data in financial services or investment management
Familiarity with data governance frameworks or data quality tools
Experience with AI-assisted tools for productivity and analysis
