JOB TITLE: Associate Manufacturing Engineer
REPORTS TO: Engineering Director
DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing Engineering
LOCATION: Oak Harbor, WA (100% Onsite)
SALARY RANGE: 69 - 103K
We anticipate hiring in the mid-range for this position.
SUMMARY:
The Associate Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for a variety of technical manufacturing support activities; this specific position will primarily be involved in creation, implementation, and sustaining of Engineering Controls such as CAD models, prints, labels, BOMs, and routings, and includes both hands-on work and higher-level engineering tasks. Candidates must be able to comfortably interface with production operators and technicians and also professionally and effectively communicate with vendors and internal customers, as needed. Strong attention to detail and accuracy is necessary to be successful in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Support New Product Introduction activities, such as:
- Project Management for new part implementation
- Part Number, BOM, and Router creation within ERP system
- Print creation (Solidworks) from established specifications
- Implement label database updates
- Coordinate validation activities with process specialists
- Documentation peer review
- Manage Customer-requested engineering changes
- Review changes for manufacturability and cost impacts
- Redline creation and submission
- Print updates
- Change approval management and post-change review
- Other technical support activities, as needed, such as (but not limited to)
- Troubleshooting equipment such as heat shrink and label printers
- Writing purchased part specification documents
- Work instruction creation and maintenance
- Process standardization and continuous improvement
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Discipline is preferred
- Minimum 1 to 3 years experience supporting a manufacturing company
- SolidWorks design experience, or aptitude to learn is required
- Familiarity with Manufacturing ERP systems is a plus

The compensation range for this position is $69,200.00 - $103,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
