Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Security Analyst to join our ever-evolving Global Security Operations team and help shape the future of Global Payments. 

What you’ll own  

• Gains and maintains knowledge of how to monitor complex systems and response to known and emerging threats against the Global Payments network via intrusion detection software 

• Assists in detailed, comprehensive investigation of security issues by reviewing security log data, interpreting data in support of security event management process from various data feeds and triages on a wide variety of security events. 

• Under close supervision performs incident handling process by gaining knowledge in implementation of containment, protection and remediation activities. 

• Under close supervision designs and configures security systems, including proxy, remote access, mail gateway, intrusion prevention, wireless networking, data leak prevention, security information and event management and web application firewalls. 

• Follow documented investigation playbooks, Runbooks and standard operating procedures. 

• Learn and follow security protocols to safeguard sensitive financial information. 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, trends, and vulnerabilities relevant to the fintech industry. 

• Identify false positives and escalate genuine security incidents to senior analysts. 

What you’ll bring 

• Relevant Experience or Degree in: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Info Security, or related field. Or relevant work experience in a related field. 

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications are an added advantage. 

• Strong interest in cybersecurity, with a focus on Security Operations Centers (SOC) and incident response, malware analysis , SIEM etc.  

• Core Cybersecurity Concepts: Understanding of common attack vectors (e.g., malware, phishing, brute force) and the cyber kill chain. 

• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection. 

• Good knowledge of security best practices and protocols (e.g., encryption, authentication, etc. 

It’s a bonus if you have 

• SIEM Exposure: Academic or basic professional experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Qradar Etc). 

• Certifications: Entry-level certs like CompTIA Security+,, CEH, ISC2 CC,Cisco CyberOps Associate, or GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) etc. 

• Home Labs: Hands-on experience building home labs, participating in CTFs (Catch the Flag), bug Bounty, Hack The Box/TryHackMe challenges.
