What You’ll Be Part Of

As part of Networking team, you shall be responsible for Design & Development of Network Stack in Automotive Domain. Work Involves Design, Development, Porting, Bug Fixing & Optimization of Networking Stack in Linux and Android.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Responsible for Ethernet Audio Video Bridge (AVB), Ethernet Switch or IP Networking components
• Strong C++ programming, data structures and debugging/problem identification and solving skills. Responsible for on-time support for Architecture, design, development, and delivery activities for networking domain.
• Work on Automotive Infotainment system software development focused on networking components
• Maintains engineering standards by establishing and maintaining processes on software design standards.
• Identifies and implements methods and practices that improve effectiveness of the software delivery and maturity of software development.
• Mentor, Guide and review design and software contributions from the development team.
• Ensure proper review of code developed by Junior team members.
• Assist the team in the triaging, analysis and debugging of the component level defects.
• Uses Agile Scrum Methodology for software development.
• Participate in the PI planning and provide the necessary inputs.
• Participate in the sprint planning and retrospective.

What Makes You A Strong Fit

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable C++ code for new and existing applications.
• Collaborate with cross-domain to define, design, and ship new features.
• Analyze and optimize system performance, including memory usage, CPU utilization, and latency.
• Debug and resolve software defects and issues.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in architectural and design discussions to contribute to future software directions.
• Write unit tests and perform integration testing to ensure software quality.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in C++ development.
• Experience in Agile methodologies, Configuration (Perforce, etc.) and Project Management tools.
• Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills

Bonus Points if You Have

• Strong proficiency in Standard Template libraries (STL).
• Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Familiarity with multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization in C++.
• Experience working with version control systems like Git.
• Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting code issues.
• Familiarity with build systems such as CMake, Makefiles, or others.
• Experience with Unit Testing frameworks (e.g., Google Test).

Things To Know

• Expertise in Networking stack protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP etc.,
• Strong Android or Android HAL Experience.
• Experience in embedded Linux or Android.
