The Opportunity
Amylyx is seeking an Associate Director, Pricing Strategy & Access Analytics to serve as a hands-on strategic partner within Market Access. Reporting to the Senior Director, Market Access Strategy, this individual will be responsible for helping lead pricing strategy, analytics, gross-to-net modeling, contracting evaluation, and related decision support. The role will also support broader market access priorities, including identifying actionable payer and PBM insights, monitoring coverage and channel strategy trends, and generating patient access analytics to inform decision-making. The role will translate complex access, pricing, and customer data into clear, actionable recommendations that support access to avexitide (subject to FDA approval) for patients with post-bariatric hypoglycemia (PBH), an area of significant unmet need.
Responsibilities
Pricing strategy and analytics:
- Lead pricing analysis, scenario planning, gross-to-net modeling, rebate and contracting economics, competitive pricing assessments to inform avexitide launch price and lifecycle decisions.
- Build and maintain financial models that evaluate pricing options, payer and PBM contracting opportunities, customer trade-offs, access implications, and business-case assumptions.
- Partner with Sr. Director, Access Strategy and co-lead pricing committee with Market Access, Finance, Forecasting, Legal, Compliance, Commercial, and Analytics teams to align pricing assumptions, pressure-test recommendations, and support compliant decision-making. Helps maintain and operationalize pricing committee.
- Monitor and analyze policy and pricing trends with potential to impact launch of avexitide
- Partner with finance to help assess risk and develop mitigation solution for potential government pricing calculations and reporting
- Ensure compliance and State Drug Pricing Transparency reporting.
Broader access analytics:
- Analyze payer coverage, utilization management, formulary positioning, reimbursement dynamics, claims trends, abandonment, reversals, pull-through performance, and patient access barriers.
- In collaboration with commercial operations and market access stakeholder, develop dashboards, scorecards, customer insights, and executive-ready materials that synthesize payer, PBM, health system, specialty pharmacy, channel, and patient services trends into actionable recommendations.
- Monitor external market trends, policy changes, competitive dynamics, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement considerations, and channel evolution that may affect pricing, access, and reimbursement strategy.
- Support vendor selection and management for market access data, pricing analytics, and research projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, MS, PharmD, or related discipline preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in market access, pricing, contracting, analytics, finance, forecasting, patient services, or related pharmaceutical/biotech roles;
- Strong understanding of U.S. pricing, gross-to-net, payer, PBM, health system, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and patient access dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to build analytical models, interpret complex data, and communicate practical recommendations to cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in rare disease, specialty pharmacy, launch planning, pricing strategy, contracting analytics, or patient services analytics preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, pivot table, financial modeling, PBM/payer negotiations & scenario analysis skills
- High business and P&L acumen, with a strong foundation of GTN accounting dynamics across access customer types (commercial, government, patient services, specialty pharmacy, trade & distribution)
- High integrity, strong collaboration skills, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
Work Location and Conditions
- At Amylyx, we proudly support remote work opportunities within the United States. However, due to business considerations related to health insurance coverage and state tax regulations, we are unable to hire employees who reside and/or work in certain states. Currently, we are not considering applicants from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Michigan and Tennessee.
- You will be expected to travel to our corporate location in Cambridge, MA several times a year and attend other company-related events as necessary and requested.
- You must have access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at your remote location.

The pay range posted below represents our good faith estimate of compensation for this role, based on market data and internal benchmarks. The final offer may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as considerations of internal equity.
