About the Role

- Develop the Group Distribution Learning & Development strategy and framework to support capability building of advisors and leaders across Agency distribution channel
- Responsible to work in partnership with country Heads of Learning on the delivery and impact of targeted learning programmes to strengthen and futureproof capabilities of AIA Agency Distribution salesforce including leaders
- Develop and deliver best in class bespoke training programmes exclusive to AIA by working with internal / external SMEs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to Director of Distribution Learning & Events of Group Distribution Office for the productivity, competency, and professionalism of AIA Agency Distribution Salesforces across channels which are directly linked to the quality of the learning programmes implemented and their outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Group Agency Distribution teams and local business units by keeping relevant team members informed on support and implementation progress of business-focused objectives.  
  • Develop learning communities with LBUs and collaborate with country Learning Heads on implementation of the learning strategy, framework and programmes including timelines for changes.
  • Perform gap analysis and work closely with Agency Distribution Team Leads, Learning Heads to link business and learning objectives of the learning programmes that support the local business unit’s and our distribution partners and agencies’ capability building needs.
  • Design learning experiences that are relevant to program’s purpose, compelling to decision makers and efficient in its use of resources.
  • Collaborate with internal / external SMEs to develop and deliver learning programmes via Train-the-Trainer or directly to Agency Executives.
  • Strengthen and future-proof capabilities of leadership and frontline teams to support new initiatives including regional / global certifications + rewards & recognition.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by manager subject to business needs.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in the Insurance Industry, 4 of which must be at Management level in an Insurance Company or Insurance intermediary
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience and knowledge in insurance sales and distribution, particularly in Agency Distribution
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in developing and facilitating leadership management programmes
  • Flexibility of travel is a requirement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office software
