HarbourVest is currently seeking candidates for an Associate position in the Asia Direct Investment team based in Singapore. HarbourVest’s Direct Investment team co-invests in buyout transactions alongside established fund managers and participates in growth equity investments.

• Has a deep interest in and desire to learn about private equity and related markets.

What you will do:

• Investment due diligence, including company and industry research.
• Financial analysis, modelling, and quantitative analysis.
• Developing investment recommendations and the supporting Investment Committee papers.
• Participating in team and Investment Committee discussions and voicing your opinion.
• Coordinating legal documentation and transaction closing.
• Monitoring existing portfolio companies.
• And other responsibilities as required.

What you bring:

• 2-6 years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or similar experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance and accounting concepts.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively operate in a team setting.

Education Preferred:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• 2 – 6 years of private equity, investment banking, consulting, or similar experience with exposure to corporate finance and financial modelling at the analyst or associate level.
