Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President / Associate to join the Brookfield Sydney office. Brookfield is seeking a versatile and all-rounded sales support person to drive and manage the wealth management sales support function across Australia. The role will encompass the day-to-day management of existing client and prospective accounts whilst contributing to overall regional business and strategic priorities.
The role will represent across Brookfield’s investment platform, including our private funds (close and open-ended), daily liquid public securities capabilities, and semi-liquid vehicles.
JOB PURPOSE:
This role will focus on providing timely support to the BPW Australia Sales team across all matters related to local fund-raising initiatives within the region.
Responsibilities include:
Initiate and support new relationships within private banks, and wealth management firms across Australia
Oversee day-to-day management of client accounts and prospective clients, including but not limited to:
RFP/diligence processes,
client onboarding and prospecting,
marketing and launch activities, and
ongoing servicing support.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with all functional teams within BPW including Marketing, Operations, Legal & Compliance, and Product Strategy to ensure smooth coordination and completion of our strategy and business goals
Strive to become a knowledgeable resource on all aspects of the investment industry, competitors, and products available in the alternative & private market
The role is based in Sydney, with the potential to travel across Australia for work related purposes
Investment and markets acumen, ideally with a depth of experience in fixed income and private markets
Ability to develop rapport and trust with internal stakeholders and external clients
Demonstrated ability to write effectively and strong communication and presentation skills
Deep knowledge and understanding of Australian private wealth landscape
Proven track record in working with cross-functional teams, e.g., partnering with sales, marketing, investments, product strategy, and compliance at all levels
Highly motivated and results driven with a high level of attention to detail as well as commitment to excellence
Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and ethics
Strong organizational skills: ability to multi-task, prioritize and collaborate across geographically disperse teams in a fast-paced environment
Energetic communicator with the ability to create excitement and sense of urgency to act
Identify business opportunities, collect market intelligence, build new relationships with junior clients /prospects, collect competitor information
Assist product due diligence, put together product analysis, and thought leadership to assist client’s production boarding
Providing ongoing diligence support for key stakeholders including, private wealth firms, asset consultants, IFAs, platforms and research houses. Working effectively with offshore diligence management teams on stakeholder workflow items
High degree of proficiency in investor servicing matters and regular client communication.
Collaborate with functional teams and service providers to ensure clients’ requests and questions get addressed timely and properly, e.g. with marketing, investment, legal, compliance, PMT, etc.
Formulate and manage visitor’s meeting schedules, coordinate client meetings, investment manager/speaker roadshows, initiate sales activities and client prospecting.
Ability to formulate and effectively disseminate PMRs (Pre-Meeting Reports) for investor roadshows.
Ability to organize and manage all aspects of investor roadshows as well as ad-hoc client engagements
Strong workflow and project management skills
Assist the team to manage all aspects of the sales life cycle, manage salesforce, prepare meeting materials, etc.
Liaise with Project Management Team (“PMT”) and Business Group Investor Relations to coordinate responses to incoming Investor Relations requests from both existing and prospective investors
Oversee client communications to ensure all LP’s receive annual/quarterly reports and other important communication
Coordinate roadshows, conferences and investor meetings with respective Project Management and Marketing Teams in conjunction with senior CRMs
Work to originate new client investment activity and marketing of funds
Research and support CRMs to implement client outreach plans.
Collect data, information and news on clients/prospects within respective territory
Detailed research and analysis, leveraging market data and other sources with the aim to create targeted prospective investor lists for new fund strategies
Prepare marketing material and investment updates for existing and prospective investors in conjunction with Project Management Teams
Coordinate regular calls with APAC regional team members
Assist in daily communication both internally (investor relations and project management teams) and externally (prospects and investors) in an effort to enhance Business Development activities:
Maintaining Brookfield’s internal CRM system (Salesforce) – ensuring current records and CRM activity is up to date
Coordinate, log, track and monitor client queries and requests to ensure timely and complete responses

Internal - Brookfield Employees, Oaktree Employees Brookfield Wealth Solutions Group, Investor Relations, Project Management teams, Marketing, Legal, Product and Compliance
External - Clients, (Banks, Independent Wealth Managers, Securities Firms, Asset Managers)
Qualifications / Experience Required:
Solid financial product knowledge, and experience in alternatives is a plus great attention to detail
Responsible person with a strong work ethic
Be able to stretch into any area and take ownership of delegated tasks to support the team’s goals
A multi-tasker that is able to prioritize and manage their time effectively
Team player, culture fit for Brookfield; Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity
Appropriate degree in business/accounting/ finance
At least 4-6 years’ experience in client servicing roles for private wealth/intermediary sales channels
Familiarity with markets, securities, investment strategies and the relevant regulatory framework
Strong communication skills
