A day in the life of an Associate Allocator at VF looks a little like this.
As the inventory management partner for the business, you will help ensure the right products are available in the right stores, at the right time, and in the right quantities. Supporting Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong DTC channels, you will work closely with Planning, Buying, Retail, Operations, and Distribution teams to optimize inventory flow, improve product availability, and drive healthy inventory productivity across stores and eCommerce.
From seasonal allocation planning and weekly replenishment to inventory transfers and new store launches, you will play a key role in balancing consumer demand, inventory investments, and operational efficiency. Through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration, you will help support strong brand presentation, improve inventory turnover, and contribute to achieving financial targets.

- Develop and maintain seasonal allocation plans for all seasonal product assortments, allocating inventory at size level across stores and digital channels based on launch strategies, store profiles, and business requirements.
- Build allocation strategies that optimize product availability while considering store layout, display requirements, stockholding capacity, and inventory productivity goals.
- Execute weekly replenishment activities by analyzing sales performance, inventory levels, incoming receipts, and logistics delivery schedules to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Monitor inventory performance across stores and eCommerce channels, identifying opportunities to improve availability, sell-through, and inventory efficiency.
- Coordinate inventory balancing activities, including store-to-store transfers and inventory consolidations, to maximize inventory productivity and reduce excess stock exposure.
- Support new store openings, relocations, and store refresh initiatives by planning and allocating inventory to ensure launch readiness.
- Track product arrivals and inventory movements, partnering with supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely stock receipt and availability.
- Support cross-distribution center inventory transfers to ensure inventory is positioned effectively across markets and channels.
- Analyze sales trends, stock levels, size performance, and inventory ageing to identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve business results.
- Partner closely with Planning, Buying, Retail Operations, and Marketplace teams to align allocation decisions with seasonal business objectives and consumer demand.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and execute inventory management processes within SAP and supporting systems.
- Prepare and share regular inventory performance updates, highlighting availability risks, replenishment opportunities, and inventory productivity insights.
- Continuously evaluate and improve allocation processes, reporting tools, and ways of working to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- 1-2 years of experience in retail, inventory allocation, replenishment, merchandise planning, or inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and product performance data to support decision-making.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including allocation, replenishment, stock balancing, and inventory productivity.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Planning, Buying, Retail Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
- Experience working with SAP or other inventory management systems is preferred.
- A proactive mindset with a strong interest in continuous learning, process improvement, and operational excellence.
