In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.
This is an Associate level position within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

This role is in the Trade Support Group that provides operational support to the US Government Securities trading desk. Top 3 skills are: Multi-tasking, ability to work under pressure, eagerness to learn. The role will require:
- Partnering closely with the Trading and Sales to provide the first level of control and escalation
- Responsible in ensuring that the trade bookings are correctly reflected in the trading risk systems and tie out with the Counterparty
- Ensuring that all trades are booked and confirmed as intended by checking the Trading system verses internal MS systems, liaising with Trading, Sales, Brokers or the Counterparty directly
- Intermediary between the Trading desk and other areas of the Bank. Controllers, Settlements and Confirmations areas will come to you to discuss and resolve issues to ensure that breaks are resolved effectively
- Participate in US Federal Treasury Auctions for government securities in various capacities and perform the booking of auction trades in MS systems
- Candidate should be a dynamic self-starter with the ability to work either on their own initiative as well as be a solid team player with strong problem solving skills
*Candidate is expected to work extended hours if necessary (until 7PM if needed). Bachelors Degree with at least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Understanding of business line and key regulations relevant to coverage area
Strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools, and processes (e.g., risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting and continuous monitoring)
Ability to identify and analyze multiple data sources to inform point of view
Ability to ask meaningful questions, understand various viewpoints and adapt messaging accordingly
A commitment to practicing inclusive behaviors
Support operational personnel
Checking inbound client documents for accuracy
The ability to define and prioritize project activities and follow-up on project progress
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong working knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of financial services field
Must be able to learn quickly and to engage in a number of detailed tasks at once
Strong flexibility in regard to the duties assigned and problem solving skills, be able to work independently
