Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Performance and Target Achievement

  • Achieve agreed sales, gross profit (GP), budget and other assigned targets.
  • Continuously monitor actual sales performance against budget by product and customer.

Marketing Plan Execution
Assist the Manager in the formulation, implementation, follow-up and evaluation of marketing plans by:

  • Identifying key customers and market opportunities through analysis of survey results and market information.
  • Evaluating prospective product volumes and market consumption capacity.
  • Monitoring and reporting competitors’ activities on a regular basis.
  • Supporting the achievement of sales targets and development of long-term customer relationships.

Customer Management and Sales Visits

  • Plan customer visit schedules and itineraries.
  • Conduct regular visits to key and potential customers based on weekly customer visit/meeting plans.
  • Prepare visit reports and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Manager and relevant suppliers to resolve customer issues.

Pricing, Forecasting and Inventory Management

  • Work with the Manager to maintain product pricing in line with budget during periods of fluctuating demand and supply.
  • Support demand and supply forecasting and inventory management.

Product and Sample Stock Management

  • Monitor and report adequate product and sample stock levels.
  • Ensure updated MSDS and other necessary product-related documentation are maintained and available.

Supplier Management

  • Manage supplier-related activities and reporting, and maintain strong supplier relationships to support business growth.
  • Communicate the latest product developments and new requirements from suppliers to relevant internal stakeholders and customers.

Sales Process and Compliance
Manage the sales process and ensure all sales activities are carried out in full compliance with company requirements, including:

  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations, proposals and quotations.
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing and commercial terms with customers.
  • Coordinating with procurement, logistics and technical teams to fulfil customer requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and opportunities in Salesforce/CRM systems.
  • Handling customer enquiries, complaints and after-sales support.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and following company procedures to resolve customer complaints and achieve mutually beneficial solutions.

CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions and opportunities in Salesforce/CRM systems.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Job Requirements / Specifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry or a related field.

Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in Sales & Marketing or related functions such as R&D, Quality Control or Marketing within the Food and Biotechnology industries.
  • Experience working with distributors or manufacturers is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Requirements

  • Strong product knowledge and business acumen, with basic marketing knowledge.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to analyse sales data and market trends.
  • Experience in team supervision or a leadership role is preferred.
  • Good understanding of inventory management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with both commercial and technical stakeholders, including Procurement, R&D, QA and Production.
  • Fluency in Thai and English. Chinese language capability will be an added advantage.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and be comfortable driving independently.
  • Willing and able to travel for business purposes, including upcountry locations.
  • Able to undertake overnight business trips and extended travel assignments when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use Excel for basic data analysis, pricing and sales reporting.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Dynamics or similar platforms.
