Why it is great to be a Pioneer:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, founded in 1866, offers associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degree programs in a broad spectrum of disciplines including: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; criminal justice; education; business; agriculture; and liberal arts. The Platteville campus is located in Southwest Wisconsin's largest community, which has a rich history rooted in mining —particularly lead mining —dating back to the early 19th century. The region offers excellent school systems, high-quality medical and hospital facilities, outstanding recreational opportunities, and vibrant businesses and industries. UW-Platteville serves as a cultural and educational center for the Tri-State region of Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

About the Music Program

An accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville serves over 500 students from across the university who study in our classes, perform in our ensembles, or engage in our instrumental and vocal studios. In addition, the Music program serves as a vital cultural resource in our region, annually hosting a choral festival, a jazz festival, a piano clinic, an honors band, and the state-level solo and ensemble competition that draw high school music students and teachers from southwest Wisconsin and the surrounding tri-state area.

The Choral program includes five vibrant ensembles, four full-time faculty members, a myriad of practicum-based opportunities for undergraduate students, and a wealth of rewarding experiences for those who love to sing and want to be a part of our choral community. Each choir is comprised of students pursuing a diverse spectrum of majors, and all singers are welcome, regardless of prior experience or ability.

Application deadline:
