We are looking for an Asset Engineer!

Job Summary

Works across manufacturing plants to improve equipment reliability, asset performance, and maintenance effectiveness. Partners with manufacturing, maintenance, and project teams to solve equipment issues, support safe operations, and drive continuous improvement. Requires knowledge of engineering principles, reliability practices, and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities / Duties

• Provides engineering expertise to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Supports troubleshooting and root cause investigations for equipment failures.
• Develops and implements maintenance and reliability strategies for manufacturing assets.
• Evaluates equipment condition, operating performance, and repair methods.
• Supports preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Leads equipment reliability and asset improvement initiatives.
• Analyzes reliability, maintenance, and cost data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Provides engineering support for turnarounds, equipment modifications, and capital projects.
• Collaborates with manufacturing, maintenance, and global technical teams to implement best practices and Most Effective Technology (MET).
• Ensures safety, environmental, and compliance requirements are integrated into asset management activities.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, maintenance, reliability engineering, asset management, or related industrial operations.
• Knowledge of reliability tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Asset Management.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese and basic business English.
