Help us create a better future, quicker

Are you an experienced operations leader with a background in stores, logistics, procurement or supply chain management? ScottishPower is looking for a Stores, Logistics & Purchasing Manager to lead a critical function supporting our Metering Estate and Revenue Assurance teams across Scotland and the North West of England.

What you’ll be doing

Based in Newarthill and overseeing our Warrington operation, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of stores, logistics and purchasing activities that keep field teams equipped, productive and ready to deliver. Travel between sites will be required.

You'll lead a team responsible for managing stock, assets, equipment, fleet requirements and supplier relationships across a geographically dispersed operation. The role combines people leadership, operational planning and financial accountability, ensuring the right resources are available at the right time while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and service delivery.

Working closely with operational managers, suppliers and senior stakeholders across the business, you'll drive continuous improvement, identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance performance, and help shape the future of stores and logistics operations. From forecasting stock requirements and managing budgets to improving processes and maintaining asset control, you'll play a key role in supporting business performance.

What you’ll bring

We're looking for someone with experience in a logistics, operational or industrial environment, along with a proven track record of leading teams and managing high-volume stock operations. You'll be confident making decisions, solving problems and balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong stakeholder management skills, commercial awareness and a focus on customer service are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and proactive leader who enjoys driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams and delivering meaningful improvements across a large-scale business operation.

Join ScottishPower and help us keep our operations moving efficiently, safely and effectively while supporting the delivery of essential energy services.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.

At ScottishPower, we believe it’s the little things we do in life that make a big difference.
