About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team for an exciting opportunity to contribute to our continued growth across West Africa and other territories under West African responsibility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, executing local business strategies, and ensuring the achievement of financial and market objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive order intake, sales, and profitability across assigned territories.
  • Develop and execute local sales and business development strategies.
  • Identify market opportunities and support profitable business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, OEMs, EPCs, and end-users.
  • Lead tendering and proposal activities in collaboration with the sales support team.
  • Participate in contract negotiations, clarification meetings, and project kick-offs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer investment plans.
  • Oversee project execution from tender stage through to financial closure.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business reporting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Promote operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 10 years' sales experience within the pump industry or related industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, agitation, and compression technologies.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement business growth strategies.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer relationship management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within West Africa and occasionally within the region.
  • Fluent in English.

Advantageous

  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Additional language skills.
