We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Architecture Risk & Governance Lead to lead the Institutional and Corporate Architecture Governance (ICAG) Operations within Architecture & Governance, ensuring architecture assessments, risk practices, control activities, records, reporting, and committee operations are executed consistently, transparently, and auditable.

The role owns the Institutional and Corporate Architecture Governance operating model and translates governance strategy into disciplined execution across intake, prioritization, assessment readiness, decision capture, action tracking, escalation, evidence management, and management information. The individual will drive operational maturity, risk visibility, audit readiness, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Architecture & Governance leadership, technology teams, Risk, Compliance, Controls, and Audit stakeholders.

What you'll do in the role

  • Lead Institutional and Corporate Architecture Governance Operations, including intake, prioritization, workflows, meeting readiness, decision capture, minutes, action tracking, escalation, and performance measures.

  • Ensure Institutional and Corporate Architecture Governance assessments, decisions, accommodations, risks, and follow-up actions are consistently executed, documented, traceable, and aligned to Architecture & Governance standards.

  • Own the quality and integrity of Architecture Assessment Logs, supporting evidence, decision records, risk inventories, accommodations, exceptions, and remediation commitments.

  • Establish documentation standards and quality checks for scope, findings, recommendations, decisions, conditions, ownership, target dates, approvals, and closure evidence.

  • Lead architecture risk management for Institutional and Corporate Architecture Governance, including identification, assessment, classification, escalation, treatment, monitoring, and closure of risks arising through assessments.

  • Maintain an auditable inventory of architecture risks, accommodations, exceptions, risk acceptances, compensating controls, treatment decisions, milestones, review dates, and approvals.

  • Provide review and challenge of material architecture risks, remediation plans, recurring findings, technical debt, modernization gaps, resiliency concerns, control gaps, and deviations from architecture direction.

  • Define and operate preventive and detective controls across intake, assessment, decision recording, accommodation, escalation, action tracking, and closure.

  • Develop KRIs, KCIs, service measures, control evidence expectations, escalation thresholds, governance health checks, and executive reporting on risk exposure, control effectiveness, themes, and remediation progress.

  • Support audits, regulatory examinations, assurance reviews, evidence collection, findings management, and remediation through closure.

  • Build strong relationships across architecture, engineering, technology leadership, Risk, Compliance, Controls, and Audit; communicate complex governance matters clearly and actionably.

  • Drive process modernization, workflow automation, data quality improvement, assessment transparency, operating efficiency, and scalable Institutional and Corporate Architecture Governance practices.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.

  • 7+ years of experience in architecture governance, technology risk, operational governance, audit, compliance, technology controls, or related functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead governance operations, control frameworks, senior forums, risk inventories, assessment processes, and cross-functional remediation.

  • Strong knowledge of risk identification, assessment, treatment, issue management, controls design, evidence management, and audit readiness.

  • Ability to understand complex technology and architecture matters, provide effective review and challenge, and translate issues into clear governance outcomes.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, executive reporting, stakeholder management, influencing, and change leadership skills.

Success Measures

  • Establish Institutional and Corporate Architecture Governance Operations as a scalable, well-controlled function supporting architecture oversight, risk visibility, and decision-making.

  • Improve completeness, timeliness, consistency, traceability, and auditability of assessments, decisions, accommodations, risks, actions, and supporting evidence.

  • Maintain a reliable architecture risk inventory with clear ownership, treatment, escalation, remediation tracking, thematic insights, and executive reporting.

  • Reduce documentation gaps, overdue actions, repeat findings, and manual effort through standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
