As a part-time (working approximately 20 hours per week) Aquatics Lead in Rochester Hills, MI, you'll help oversee daily pool operations, ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for members, support engaging aquatic programs, and maintain high standards throughout the facility. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of water chemistry and public pool sanitation practices and is willing to obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within 30-60 days of hire.


Hours: Monday-Sunday, any time between 5am-9pm, flexible

Responsible for safety, member engagement, and the quality of the aquatic programs during your shifts. You will be responsible for pool deck maintenance and aquatic facility supervision.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor patrons using the facility and enforce/explain rules as necessary. Respond appropriately to any emergency situations.
  • Track and monitor pool chemistry results and report facility issues to Aquatics Manager and General Manager.
  • Provide leadership to facility cleaning, pool deck maintenance, and aquatic program supervision.
  • Assist Aquatics Manager with staff communications and attend all required staff meetings and trainings. Provide customer service and communication with members.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.


Minimum Requirements

  • Certified Pool Operator certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $17/hr - $22/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.  We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive wage within the market.
