Job Description:

The person will work in MPS Switzerland offices in Tolochenaz with a small, dynamic group. The work will include very diverse engineering tasks with the opportunity to learn new core competencies such as mechanical CAD design.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our engineering team to design and build setups for characterizing sensor products (angle, 3D and current sensors).
  • Design printed circuit board (schematics, layout, assembly)
  • Design firmware for different microcontrollers
  • Design Graphical User interface (Python, C++)
  • Design software for automatic measurements (Labview, Python) 
  • Manage measurement campaign
  • Data processing and reporting (Matlab, Python)
  • Design demos for customers or marketing purposes
  • Support customer  

Requirements

  • Engineer passionate by technology and eager to learn new skills
  • Familiar with electronic design
  • Familiar with Firmware development (C, C++)
  • Familiar with data processing (Matlab, Python Numpy)
  •  Good communication skills. French or English speaker and able to write in English. 
  • Good team player. 

Good to have

  • Familiar with Software development (Python, C++, Labview)
  • Familiar with Schematic and PCB Design (Altium or Cadence) 
  • Familiar with Mechanical CAD (Solidworks)
  • Mechanical workshop skills
  • Familiar with Qt/pyside2, matplotlib, plotly, Flask 

Education

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering in an EPF or HES.
