About this Applications Engineer role at Pavago
Applications Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: U.S Business Hours
About the Role
We are looking for an Applications Engineer to serve as a primary technical resource for customers, helping them understand how Krevera's products and solutions apply to their specific use cases and challenges.
This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and customer communication. You’ll work with customers, sales, product, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technically sound application recommendations, support product evaluations and proof-of-concept work, guide customer onboarding and implementation, and help build clear technical documentation.
What You’ll Own
Technical Application Support
- Serve as the primary technical resource for customers.
- Help customers understand how Krevera's products and solutions apply to their specific use cases and challenges.
- Understand customer environments and map Krevera's products to their needs.
Solution Design & Scoping
- Work with customers and internal teams to translate requirements into clear, technically sound application recommendations and configurations.
- Support customers in identifying appropriate solutions for their technical requirements.
Pre-Sales & Post-Sales Engagement
- Partner with sales and product teams during customer evaluations.
- Support product demonstrations and proof-of-concept work that builds confidence in Krevera's solutions.
- Support customers throughout both pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
Customer Onboarding & Implementation Guidance
- Guide customers through initial setup and deployment.
- Help ensure customers get up and running correctly and efficiently.
Documentation & Knowledge Building
- Create and maintain application notes, technical guides, and FAQs.
- Develop customer-facing written materials that help customers self-serve.
- Help internal teams communicate product capabilities clearly.
Feedback Loop to Product
- Capture recurring customer questions, pain points, and feature requests.
- Relay customer feedback to Krevera's product and engineering teams.
- Help inform the product roadmap through insights gathered from customer engagements.
Required Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in an applications engineering, field applications, or systems engineering role, ideally within a technical product company.
- Strong foundational knowledge in the relevant engineering domain.
- Ability to understand customer environments and map Krevera's products to their needs.
- Comfort working at the intersection of technical depth and customer communication.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both engineers and non-engineers.
- Experience supporting or collaborating with sales teams during pre-sales and proof-of-concept cycles.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation, application notes, or customer-facing written materials.
- Based in the United States, with availability to engage during standard US business hours.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- You own problems end-to-end: when a customer question comes in, you follow it through to a real answer rather than passing it around.
- You communicate proactively, keeping customers and internal teammates informed without needing to be prompted.
- You are comfortable sitting at the edge of what you know and learning on the job, asking good questions, and building expertise quickly in unfamiliar territory.
- You bring a low-ego, collaborative approach to working across technical and commercial teams.
- You adapt your communication style to whoever you are working with.
What Success Looks Like
- Customers receive clear, technically sound guidance for their specific applications and challenges.
- Customer evaluations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept work are well supported.
- Customers are guided through setup and deployment effectively.
- Technical documentation helps customers self-serve and reduces repeat questions.
- Recurring customer feedback, pain points, and feature requests are clearly communicated to product and engineering teams.
- Customers and internal teams have clear communication throughout active engagements.
Typical Day
Your day moves between customer-facing work and internal collaboration. In the morning you might be on a call with a customer working through a specific application question, then spend time preparing a technical summary for the sales team ahead of a product evaluation later in the week.
You respond to inbound technical inquiries, contribute to documentation that reduces repeat questions, and check in with Krevera's engineering and product teams to stay current on product updates and flag what you are hearing from the field.
The rhythm is a mix of scheduled calls and self-directed work, requiring you to manage your own time and prioritize clearly across active customer engagements.
