Work as a software developer in a small Agile team delivering solutions onsite for customers focussed on migrating our customers’ legacy relational-based Java applications to a more modern cloud-based architecture running on MongoDB, leveraging the latest GenAI tools and approaches to accelerate this process. During each project, successful candidates will be required to innovate on potential new GenAI-based solutions for specific challenges in addition to applying existing playbooks and tooling for migration.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Bengaluru for our hybrid working model.
Position Summary
As an Application Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with customers to deliver tailored solutions for modernizing their legacy SQL-based systems and applications. Your role will involve collaborating with bite-size Agile teams, applying best practices, and contributing to system redesigns that leverage MongoDB. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong technical fundamentals and a passion for learning, as the role provides extensive training and exposure to modern technologies like MongoDB, GenAI, and cloud-native architectures
Position Expectations:
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions for modernizing legacy SQL-based applications and migrating them to MongoDB
- Apply your knowledge of Java (or similar programming languages) and relational databases to support customer projects
- Follow and contribute to best practice playbooks for migrations and modern application development
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, especially MongoDB, GenAI tools, and cloud architectures, as projects demand
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives to improve team processes and outputs
- Communicate progress, challenges, and ideas effectively within the team and to stakeholders
- Support debugging and performance optimization tasks during projects
- Be open to mentoring and guidance from senior team members while contributing to team discussions with a fresh perspective
Key Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in
- Core programming concepts specific to JAVA
- Relational databases and SQL, including basic stored procedures
- Application debugging and performance tuning
- Exposure to one or more enterprise application architectures, such as Spring Boot or Hibernate
- Experience working in Agile teams, with a familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git for version control
- Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn new tools, frameworks, and best practices quickly
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
- Basic knowledge of GenAI tools and APIs (e.g., OpenAI GPT models)
- Exposure to Python and its application in scripting or data processing
- Basic understanding of cloud-native development concepts (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices)
- Hands-on experience with ORMs like Hibernate or JPA
Bonus Skills
- Prior experience with MongoDB and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with GenAI technologies (e.g., OpenAI API, GPT models) and the ability to innovate new use cases within migration projects
