About this Application Developer role at The Cigna Group
1. JOB PURPOSE
The Job holder is responsible to develop and implement software application, software
components and unit test. They collaborate with teams to set specifications, write high quality code, conduct testing, and troubleshoot applications.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Developing and implementing software applications, software components and unit tests.
• Implementing new features based on business requirements.
• Working closely with other developers, UI/UX designers, business analysts, and QA Team.
• Developing and maintaining quality & scalable software products, documentations.
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
• Gather and evaluate user feedback.
• Troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading software.
• Assisting in enhancing existing software components and adding new features.
• Provide timely updates to the Technical Team Lead and Software development Manager.
• Regular involvement in the support tickets from the Business Team.
3. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Graduation/Post Graduation in Software Engineering/Computer Applications/Computer
Science/Data Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in application development domain.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
• In-depth understanding of modern software development technologies like .Net 6, Angular, JQuery, Blazor.
• Good command in programming languages C# and PL/SQL is a must.
• Good familiarity with SQL Developer, Toad, SQL Management Studio is preferred.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously.
4. COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The job holder interacts with all Departments within NNHS and other service providers. He/ She must ensure seamless communication between all departments for the smooth operations and to achieve the organizational objective. He/ She must be able to foster strong internal & external communication standards.
5.OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
He/she works in an air-conditioned environment and spends most of the day at desk. The Jobholder’s working hours are flexible as per weekly schedule within the boundaries of the UAE labor law. The job holder is not exposed to any obvious hazards.
