As an Appian Developer-Senior Associate you will support regulatory risk and compliance work within our Risk and Compliance practice, focusing on Appian-based solutions that help clients navigate regulatory requirements and strengthen internal controls. As a Senior Associate you will analyze complex problems, manage assigned workstreams, build meaningful client connections, mentor junior team members, and use critical thinking, data insights, and technical skills to deliver work that supports broader project objectives. In this role at PwC, you will apply your Appian development skills to configure, enhance, and maintain workflow solutions, translate business needs into practical deliverables, and contribute to client service work in a setting that values relationship building, flexibility, and steady professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure Appian Records, including Record Types, relationships, views, actions, queries, security, and Record Events. Proficiency in SAIL forms design, process design, SQL & stored procedures / SQL databases, object-oriented programmed, and Service Backed Records
- Developing Appian-based workflow applications that support regulatory risk and compliance processes for client engagements
- Translating business requirements into technical design, process models, and configurable application components
- Configuring forms, records, interfaces, reports, and data integrations within the Appian platform
- Analyzing complex process gaps and recommending automation approaches that improve control execution and case handling
- Supporting testing activities, defect resolution, and deployment readiness across assigned workstreams
- Collaborating with project leads and client stakeholders to clarify priorities, manage scope, and track deliverables
- Reviewing technical work completed by junior team members and providing guidance on design, build, and documentation tasks
- Applying knowledge of compliance frameworks, regulatory reporting, and risk controls to shape application functionality
- Troubleshooting platform issues and interpreting system behavior to support stable and maintainable solutions
- Contributing to solution documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of delivery methods
- Ability to configure Interactions Hub (Appian-based solution) based on defined user stories / business and functional requirements, including Appian process models, embedded controls, and user interfaces
- Perform periodic Appian application health checks, analyze findings, and implement appropriate remediation actions.
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/BE)
- At least 4 - 8 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
- Proficiency in integrating Appian with external systems. Experience with SIT and UAT processes
- Proficiency in mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
- Appian Level 2 (Senior Developer) certification is mandatory.
