About the role

 

The APAC S&OP Lead reports to the Head of QSC for the OU and is based in Singapore. The role leads the S&OP and IBP cycle across APAC, enabling cross-functional decision-making, alignment between commercial ambition and supply capability, and disciplined execution of business plans.


Role Description


  • Leads IBP as the business deployment process for APAC, delivering predictable performance and building sustainable capability across people, process and systems.
  • Owns the APAC S&OP process and is accountable for its effectiveness across the OU, categories and key markets.
    • Ensures the monthly S&OP cycle integrates demand, supply, inventory, financial and portfolio inputs into clear decisions and execution plans.
    • Frames risks, opportunities and scenarios for leadership decision-making across service, growth, cost, cash and resilience.
    • Establishes the S&OP calendar, meeting flow, decision standards and governance.
    • Ensures S&OP outputs support Global Performance, MPR, ABP and IGP cycles.
  • Aggregates and validates demand plans, ensuring key assumptions and changes are understood.
  • Contributes to key business planning processes, including target setting, ABP and IGP.
  • Connects OU business planning, target setting and review processes with category growth plans through an effective commercial, finance and QSC handshake.
  • Owns base-plan, what-if and scenario analysis with Category Supply Planning.
    • Defines scenario scope and demand ranges across growth building blocks, including initiatives.
    • Aligns business teams on the risks and opportunities to be assessed.
  • Embeds business planning into the monthly S&OP cycle to avoid duplication and keep decisions integrated beyond supply and demand.
    • Ensures plans are documented, tracked and converted into execution.
  • Leads development and alignment of the OU Operating Strategy.
  • Owns inventory performance plans.
  • Owns OU availability and leads risk and resilience for the OU.
  • Accountable for training OU resources and ensuring adherence to agreed processes.
  • Represents the OU in key system implementation and upgrade projects.
  • Builds S&OP capability to reduce losses in areas influenced by planning decisions, improving the quality and timeliness of information.
  • Acts as the key interface with category-level functions and disciplines, including brand families and functional resourcing.
  • Leads OU lifecycle and portfolio management, owning SKU productivity and portfolio optimisation.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Owns the APAC IBP process and leads effective S&OP execution across Category, OU and market stakeholders.
  • Owns the OU Operating Strategy interface with the Planning Centre, Category teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Leads long-term business planning, what-if analysis and scenario planning to assess risks, opportunities and trade-offs.
  • Balances sales, production and inventory at category level in line with latest business plans, using an exception-based approach with execution led by PSC.
  • Drives collaboration between Category, OU, Commercial, Finance, Planning Centre and QSC teams to align plans and execution.
  • Facilitates the monthly S&OP cycle, ensuring meetings are prepared, decision-focused and followed through with clear owners and completion dates.
    • Ensures portfolio changes, including NPI, EOL and SKU optimisation, are incorporated into demand, supply and business planning decisions.
    • Leads long-term capacity master planning beyond the 18-month horizon.
    • Leads QSC input into Strategic Revenue Management.
    • Leads S&OP health checks, meeting effectiveness reviews and continuous-improvement actions.
    • Maintains action logs, decisions, outcomes and follow-up tracking to ensure S&OP decisions translate into execution.
    • Serves as the key point of contact for Brand and Business teams on S&OP, IBP and operating-plan alignment.

Experience and Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, finance, engineering or a related field required; advanced degree or supply chain certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in end-to-end supply chain, commercial planning, operations or related business leadership roles.
  • Strong experience in S&OP, IBP, demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning or business planning, preferably across multiple markets or categories.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional planning forums and influence senior stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, QSC, Category and market teams.
  • Advanced analytical capability, including scenario planning, trade-off evaluation, root-cause analysis and translation of data into clear business decisions.
  • Strong working knowledge of planning processes, including demand, supply, inventory, portfolio, NPI/EOL, MRP, S&OP and IBP.
  • Experience using enterprise planning systems, analytics tools and reporting platforms to consolidate data, identify insights and support decision-making.
  • Financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to connect volume, sales, margin, inventory, service and cash implications.
  • Experience in process governance, meeting facilitation, action tracking and continuous improvement.
