About the Department

The Wholesale Banking function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Overview of the Role

• Ensuring that all KYC activities comply with regulatory requirements covering non-individual customers, including those related to AML/CFT/CPF/Sanctions.

• Completing all other tasks of AFC Ops assigned by manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and Relationship Managers to obtain the required documentation for account opening, perform KYC, and facilitate Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews.
• Prepare the KYC checklist and conduct the CDD review by identifying and verifying the client’s identity and related parties, performing name screening, and assessing adverse news and AML risks as appropriate.
• Conduct periodic evaluations of clients and coordinate the collection and compilation of relevant data between Relationship Managers and local compliance teams, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Provide business advisory support to local compliance on matters related to AML, CTF, sanctions, and escalations.
• Maintain accurate records of client information and documentation.
• Other task assigned by Line Manager

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

• Bachelor degree in banking, finance or equivalent in related fields
• Min. 3 years working experience in KYC/CDD
• Proficient in MS office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and good team player
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
