About the role
We are currently hiring a Vatting Instruction Analyst, on a fixed term contract basis, to prepare blend formulae to support cased and bulk sales utilising inventory ranging from 3 to 60 years old. You will play a valued role in ensuring we can meet our short and long-term market demand by analysing our maturing spirit inventory, working with detailed data and using analytical skills to determine the most appropriate stock to use to fulfil demand whilst maintaining the integrity and quality of our large portfolio of blends.
What you will do
Vatting and Spirit Availability
- Produce vatting instructions to meet plans and working within current formula parameters and legislative and quality criteria as well as taking into account transport and warehousing efficiency.
- Ensure availability of spirit and support Operational Planning in providing the correct spirit for vatting, bottling and exports and update spirit quality information on the system.
Inventory
- Ensure future inventory capability by appropriate allocation of stock while meeting the inventory depletions plan
- Effectively utilising quality & survey rated inventory in conjunction with the Blending Team.
- Utilise or relocate inventory at external sites within contract parameters.
Warehouse Support
- Actively improve warehouse space issues using the Power B.I. part stow/tier search tool to identify/allocate/relocate inventory as appropriate.
- In conjunction with the Operations Teams, ensure warehouse closures or site maintenance does not impact spirit supply.
- Produce consolidation and repatriation to maintain warehouse space criteria and assist with warehouse audits as required.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with Blenders & the Bill of Materials Team to facilitate creation of new spirit codes on the system and work with Operational Planners to define the process for New Product Development.
Your skills and background
- Have experience in a similar role.
- Demonstratable good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Skilled in developing strong working relationships, working to deadlines and handling information with care and confidentiality.
- Computer literate with strong working knowledge of at least some of the following: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Power Bi, SMP, E1, OBI or other similar systems.
- Hold a full UK driving license.
