Partner with the best
Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies. Review procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy. Configure test stations and systems. Analyze and interpret data from environmental tests and trouble shoot equipment problems. Analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems. Assist in the set-up of experiments and the recording of experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups. Test and evaluate the performance, and if required, repair general purpose test equipment. Provide supervision, mentorship and leadership of technicians in the absence of the supervisor/manager. Maintain equipment records and filing systems as part of quality control and assurance programs. Inspection and disposition of parts and equipment. Provide coaching for other Technicians. Assist in the preparation, development and enhancement of maintenance procedural documentation. Evaluate maintenance processes for potential improvements in quality, reliability, turnaround times and costs. Compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, testing, assembly, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electro-mechanical equipment and assemblies. Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, and perform visual inspections of electro-mechanical equipment and assemblies, both in the maintenance workshop and at the wellsite when required by the customer.
- Analyse and interpret environmental and operational test data to diagnose equipment issues and determine corrective actions.
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly, maintenance, repair, and downhole equipment servicing activities.
- Support the repair, modification, and correction of non-conforming equipment to ensure compliance with operational and quality requirements.
- Conduct testing activities with minimal supervision and provide technical support to operations as required.
- Assist Engineering and Reliability teams with the setup of experiments and accurate recording of test data.
- Coach and support junior technicians to enhance technical competencies and performance.
- Perform basic electrical inspections and checks as required. Ensure full compliance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence in all assigned activities.

To be successful in this role you will:
Education
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
- 7 to 10 years of experience in maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical wireline equipment.
- Prior experience within the Baker Hughes Wireline Product Line is preferred.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and maintaining electro-mechanical systems and equipment.
Technical Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities for electro-mechanical systems.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, test, repair, and maintain complex equipment.
- Capability to analyse test data and identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Ability to perform basic electrical inspections and checks.
- Familiarity with wireline operations and downhole tools.
