About this Allround QHSE Engineer role at DEME Group
As an Allround QHSE Engineer, you help us turn that commitment into practice. You support a wide range of QHSE activities and work closely with colleagues across the business to continuously improve how we work.
Your work can range from risk assessments and incident investigations to audits, management systems, training initiatives and safety campaigns. Part of your time is spent at our headquarters in Belgium, while regular site visits allow you to stay connected to the operational reality.
Your responsibilities
Support project and tender teams on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental matters.
Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and inspections.
Maintain and further improve QHSE management systems, procedures, and standards.
Develop and support safety awareness initiatives, training activities, and improvement programs.
Monitor QHSE performance and help translate findings into practical actions.
Work closely with operational teams and other stakeholders to strengthen our safety culture.
Conduct regular site visits to stay connected to operational activities and support teams in the field.
Take ownership of specific QHSE topics, processes, systems, or improvement initiatives, aligned with your strengths and business needs.
Your profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Safety Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or another relevant field.
Experience in QHSE, safety management systems, engineering, or operational environments is a plus.
Strong interest in safety and continuous improvement.
Analytical mindset combined with a practical, hands-on approach.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in an international environment.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel occasionally for short assignments and site visits.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset.
Eager to learn, take ownership, and grow within a broad QHSE role.
