Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Aircraft Maintenance Technicians with assigned aircraft maintenance tasks on customer aircraft.
Assist with routine and scheduled aircraft maintenance activities under the direction of qualified maintenance personnel.
Assist with servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, engines, and components as assigned.
Assist with troubleshooting aircraft systems and components under appropriate supervision.
Assist with the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of aircraft sections and components in accordance with approved technical data.
Learn and develop aircraft maintenance skills through hands-on training and on-the-job experience.
Document assigned learning and training activities as required.
Assist with ensuring maintenance work is properly documented in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Follow all applicable FAA regulations, FEAM policies and procedures, customer requirements, and safety standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Basic Qualifications
Must be able to read and write English.
Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
Must have good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a current valid driver’s license.
Must have a high degree of mechanical ability and attention to detail.
Frequently be required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
Frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
Awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.
Ability to operate equipment and read technical information.
Exposure to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
Preferred Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an FAA-approved Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) or Aircraft Maintenance program.
Currently pursuing an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
Ability to use various hand tools, calipers, and specialized tools for aircraft.
Prefer the ability to read technical manuals and mechanical diagrams.
