Job Overview:

This role combines product management and product design. You own the outcome from the first customer conversation to the shipped result: you find the problem, validate it, design the solution, and write the tickets engineering builds from.

You'll work across the ThriveCart product ecosystem, shaping how entrepreneurs sell, market, teach, and create with AI built in. AI is both your subject and your toolset. You'll use it to research, prototype, and design faster than a traditional team can.

You write clearly, you're comfortable with ambiguity, and you have the judgment to say no.

What You'll Do:

  • Discover: Talk to customers, analyze usage data, and size opportunities. Decide what's worth building and what isn't.
  • Define: Write the brief: problem, audience, success metrics, scope, and what we're not building. Own prioritization and make the tradeoffs.
  • Design: Create the flows, interactions, and visuals, including how the AI behaves: prompts, outputs, confidence, errors, and recovery.
  • Prototype: Build working prototypes with AI tools and test them with real inputs and real users before engineering commits.
  • Specify: Write clear, build-ready tickets with acceptance criteria that engineers can pick up without a meeting.
  • Ship: Work with engineering through delivery, make scope calls as you go, and review the result against the design and the goal.
  • Measure: Track outcomes after launch and decide what to iterate on next.
  • Define quality for AI output and set the bar for what ships.
  • Keep the design language consistent so the ecosystem feels like one product.

What You Bring To This Role:

  • 3-5 years of shipped product work you can walk us through end to end, from the problem to the outcome.
  • Product management skills: discovery, prioritization, briefs, tickets, and working with engineers through delivery.
  • Real experience designing with or for AI, and daily use of AI tools in your own work. Show us how you work, not just what you made.
  • E-commerce experience: you understand checkout, conversion, payments, and the merchant and buyer sides of selling online.
Nice to have
  • Experience with SaaS, marketing tools, or creator-economy products.
  • Front-end skills sufficient to build functional prototypes in code.
  • Experience building marketplaces or two-sided platforms.
What success looks like
  • In 30 days: you understand our products and customers well enough to name the three biggest opportunities for AI, and you've prototyped at least one of them.
  • In 90 days: you've taken a project from discovery through shipped, and teams are bringing you problems early because you help them figure out how AI should work in their product.
