As an AI Led Data Engineer you will design and build data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation solutions that support client work within our Data and Analytics Engineering practice. As an Associate you will focus on learning and contributing to project tasks, building your technical skills, adapting to changing client needs, and delivering dependable work while developing your personal brand in a fast-paced environment. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Bangalore, you will use AWS, Textract, Comprehend, and PySpark to help transform raw data into actionable insights, support data processing activities, and contribute to cloud-based data engineering efforts that can support business decisions.

Responsibilities

- Designing and building data pipelines and integration workflows across cloud-based platforms
- Developing data transformation logic using PySpark to process structured and unstructured information
- Implementing AWS services, including Textract and Comprehend, to extract and classify content from source documents
- Creating data validation checks and quality controls to support accurate downstream reporting and analytics
- Supporting data lake and data warehouse structures that improve accessibility, consistency, and performance
- Collaborating on data modeling, schema design, and pipeline troubleshooting to address implementation issues
- Applying automation and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow to schedule and monitor recurring data jobs
- Working across client engagements to gather requirements, document technical details, and support delivery of data engineering tasks

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 3+ years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
- Practicing AWS data engineering using Textract and Comprehend
- Applying PySpark for data transformation and pipeline development
- Demonstrating familiarity with data modernization and cloud platforms
- Supporting data integration, quality, and validation activities
- Adapting quickly across client needs and team priorities
